Title Dragon and Mount Fuji
Biography 1784–1866. A Nanga (Southern School) painter born in Mutsu Province. His family name was Fujita, his given name was Hyō, and he used the art name Rakan Sanjin. By order of Matsudaira Sadanobu, lord of the Shirakawa Domain, he studied under Tani Bunchō. He was also involved in the production of a copy of the "Ishiyama-dera Engi Emaki" (Illustrated Handscroll of the Origins of Ishiyama-dera Temple).
