Biography Ikeda Yoson(1895-1988) was a Japanese-style painter born in Okayama. Studied at the Kyoto City Painting Technical School. Also studied Western-style painting under Matsubara Mitsugoro and later Japanese-style painting under Takeuchi Seiho in Kyoto. Estalished the Suimei Association with Uemura Shoko, Soseisha with Hamada Kan. Hosted the Seitosha, an painting school. Advisor of the Nitten Exhibition and a member of the Arts Institute. Received the Person of Cultural Merits and the Order of Culture.
