Biography Asano Yae(1914-1996) was a painter born in Mie Prefecture. Graduated from Mie Prefectural Kobe junior high school. Worked as a military personnel after graduation. Began to work on abstract painting after associating with Noda Riichi, a poet. Began to work on the artistic activities after the war-end and received a high reputation for his unique style of painting that making lines by scratches. Lived in his parents' house in Suzuka, Mie for his whole lifetime.
