Title Three Lines Calligraphy
Biography Fujita Toko(1806-1855) was a politician born in Hitachi Province(present Ibaraki Prefecture). The second son of Fujita Yukoku, a scholar of Mito studies. Developed the politics in the Mito Domain as a confidant of Tokugawa Nariaki, the feudal lord. Associated with Yokoi Shonan and Hashimoto Sanai. Died from the Great Ansei Earthquake.

Takase Seiken(1869-1952) was a philosopher in Kagawa. Graduated from the Tokyo Imperial Univerisity and became a professor at the Kyoto Imperial University after studying abroad in China. Later became a manager of the Literature Department at the Ritsumei University. Known for his research on Yangmingism.
