Biography Noro Kaiseki(1747-1828) was a Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) painter born in Kishu Province(present Wakayama and a part of Mie Prefectures). Studied painting under Kakutei, a monk painter and Ike Taiga, a Nanga painter. Known as one of the three prominent Nanga painters along with Nagamachi Chikuseki and Aiseki, a monk painter.
