Biography Uono Jisei(1883-unknown) was a makieshi(craftsman sprinkling gold or silver power on each lacquered parts) born in Ishikawa. Studied under Yamamoto Rihe in Kyoto and Akatsuka Jitoku in Tokyo. Coming back to Kyoto, Yashiro Wazaburo at Mino-ya, a luxury lacquerware shop supported him. Received awards at some exhibitions. A committee member of Japan Crafts Arts Association and a member of Kyoto Lacquer Arts Association.
