Biography Ohashi Suiseki(1865-1945) was a Japanese-style painter born in Gifu. Excelled at painting tigers and was called as "Suiseki of Tiger." Studied Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) under Amano Hoko and Watanabe Shoka. Was Awarded the Gold award at the Paris Expo in 1900. Presented his paintings to the Emperor Meiji and the royal family Chosenri in Korea.
