Biography Hata Teruo(1887-1945) was a Japanese-style painter born in Hiroshima. Graduated from Kyoto City School of Arts and Crafts. Participated in the artist associations such as “Heigokai” by Chigusa Soun and “Chat Noir” by Tsuchida Bakusen. Painted the women living in the bottom of society and later devoted himself more into Buddhist painting.
