Biography Domoto Insho(1891-1975) was a Japanese-stye painter born in Kyoto. After graduating from the Kyoto Municipal School of Arts and Crafts, he aspired to be a Japanese-style painter and went to the Kyoto City Specialist School of Painting. Studied painting under Nishiyama Suisho. Painted many fusuma and wall paintings for major temples in Kyoto including Daitokuji, Ninnaji, Toji and Daigoji temples.
