Biography	Aoki Mokubei(1767-1833) was a potter born in Kyoto. Studied pottery under Okuda Ewasen (1753-1811). Associated with Kimura Kenkado, Tanomura Chikuden, Rai Sanyo and Shinozaki Shochiku. Excelled at making tea vessels of akae, sometsuke-utsushi and kochi ware, etc. Known as one of the three masters of Kyoyaki pottery at the end of Edo period with Eiraku Hozen and Ninnami Dohachi. Tamomura Chikuden(1777-1835) was a Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) painter born in Toyogo(present Oita Prefecture). Studied painting under Tani Buncho. Associated with Urakami Gyokudo and Rai Sanyo. His pupils include Takahashi Sohei, Hoashi Kyouu, Tanomura Chokunyu, and others. Miura Chikuken(1900-1990) was a potter born in Kyoto. Succeeded the name, Miura Chikusen, the 3rd head of the family in 1921. Later Became independent and changed his name to Chikuken.
Description	Aoki Mokubei(created), Tanomura Chikuden(carved) 5 cups, H5 diam.7 cm (each) one cup with minor chip engraved with signature and date by Chikuden(1825) with wooden storage box signed by Aoki Mokubei and Miura Chikuken
