Biography	Tanomura Chokunyu(1814-1907) was a Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) painter born in Bungo(present Oita Prefecture). Studied under Tanomura Chikuden and became an adopted heir. Associated with Tomioka Tessai in Kyoto. Devoted to the development of Japanese Nanga by establishing the Nanga School.
Description	2 scrolls ink and wash on satin with silk mounting 136 × 51 cm(each artwork), 208 × 67 cm(each overall) minor foxing/minor crease on satin and minor crease on mounting with double wooden storage box signed by the artist in 1881
