Biography Soga Ryojin(1875-1971) was a monk of Jodo Shin-shu sect and born in Niigata Prefecture. Entered into Jo'on-ji Temple in Niigata and became son-in-law adapted by Soga Keinan. Graduated from Shinshu University(present Otani University). Entered into the Kokodo School run by Kiyozawa Manshi. The 17th president of Otani University and given the title of emeritus professor. Contributed to the development of ideological history on the modern Buddhism.
