Biography	Tanomura Chikuden(1777-1835) was a Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) painter born in Toyogo(present Oita Prefecture). Studied painting under Tani Buncho. Associated with Urakami Gyokudo and Rai Sanyo. His pupils include Takahashi Sohei, Hoashi Kyouu, Tanomura Chokunyu, and others. Kusakari Shokoku(1892-1993) was a Japanese Nanga(Chinese-style painting) painter born in Oita. Studied under Sakuma Chikuura and later Tazika Chikuson in Kyoto. Devoted to the management and preservation of Chikuden family house. A core pillar of research on Tanomura Chikuden.
Description	ink on paper with silk mounting 121 × 28 cm(artwork), 202 × 42 cm(overall) minor crease on paper exhibited at the 100th anniversary of Tanomura Chikuden comes with the catalog "Great paintings by the master Chikuden" by the association of the 100th anniversary of Tanomura Chikuden (published in 1935) with the letter by Sakanashi Kiyoshi, formerly possessed by Matsumoto Sokenan with wooden storage box signed by Kusakari Shokoku
