Biography Nakayama Komin(1808-1870) was a makieshimakieshi(craftsman sprinkling gold or silver power on lacquer) born in Musashi(present parts of Tokyo, Saitama and Kanagawa Prefectures). Studied under Hara Yoyusai. Excelled at tea ceremony and haikai.

Kano Naganobu(1775-1828) was a painter born in Edo(present Tokyo), a son and pupil of Yosenin Korenobu. Succeeded the 8th generation head of the Kobikicho branch of the Edo Kano school. Excelled at tea ceremony and benefited from the interaction with the 7th lord of Matsue, Matsudaira Fumai. Studied antique Chinese and Japanese paintings. The restorer of Edo Kano School.
