Biography Morimura Hogi(1805-1862) was a wealthy merchant and poet born in Edo. Older brother of Yo-kyo. Studied haikai under Narita Sokyu, painting under Sakai Hoitsu and poem under Nakamura Butsuan. One of the 24 great poets in Tenpo Period.
