Biography Nishi Kiichi (1843-1904) was a politician and educator born in Bizen Province(present Okayama Prefecture). Studied under Morita Sessai and Goto Shoin. Succeeded the teachings from Nishigomura, a pupil of Morita Sessai. Was active in a diplomatic communication of the Domain. After the Meiji Restration, taught at Okayama Prefectural School and devoted to reform the education and develop the education for girls. Restored the former Okayama Shizutani school and became the 1st president.
