Biography Iwasa Katsushige(unknown-1673) was a painter born in Echizen Province. Eldest son of Iwasa Matabee. Studied under his father and served to the Echizen Fukui Domain. As the restoration of the Fukui Castle, created the screen paintings "Cranes" in the room of crane. Excelled at figures of color painting. His famous works are "Kind of Nio," "craftsmen," etc.
