Biography Okada Beisanjin (1744-1820) was a literati painter born as the son of a prosperous rice merchant in Osaka. He came under the influence of Rai Sanyo, Uragami Gyokudō, Kimura Kenkado and Tanomura Chikuden and many other literary persons. Studied the Chinese literati painting of the Ming, Qing and Yuan dynasty. Also Served Todo clan in Ise province. Prominent painter in literati painting of Osaka. His son was Okada Hanko
