Biography Okada Beisanjin (1744-1820) was a literati painter born as the son of a prosperous rice merchant in Osaka. Associated with Rai Sanyo, Uragami Gyokudō, Kimura Kenkado and Tanomura Chikuden and many other literary persons. Studied the Chinese literati painting of the Ming, Qing and Yuan dynasties. Also Served to Todo Domain in Ise Province. Prominent painter in literati painting of Osaka. His son was Okada Hanko.
