Biography Okada Hanko (1782-1846) was a Japanese Nanga (Chinese-style painting) painter born in Osaka. A son of Okada Beisanjin. Studied painting under his father. Associated with Rai Sanyo, Tanomura Chikuden and Oshio Heihachiro. Excelled at landscape painting, flower painting, poetry and prose.
