Biography Shiga Nagoya(1883-1971) was a Japanese novelist born in Miyagi Prefecture. Entered Tokyo Imperial University but left without graduating. In 1910, joined Mushanokoji Saneatsu and Arishima Takeo in founding the journal Shirakaba(“White Birch”). His well-known writings include “Anyakoro (A Darknight Passing)” and “Kinosaki nite (At Kinosaki)”.
