Biography

Soga Shohaku (1730-1781) was a Japanese painter born in Kyoto. Studied painting under Takada Keiho. Appreciated Muromachi-style painting. Had close relationship with Ike Taiga. Known as an eccentric person who has many anecdotes.


Kyuka Byakko (birth/death dates unknown) was a calligrapher, also known as Inoue Kyuka. Lived in Kyoto.
