Biography Yoshikawa Eiji(1892-1962) was a Japanese novelist born in Kanagawa. Second son of Yoshikawa Naohiro. Moved to Asakusa in Tokyo in 1910. Wrote a huge number of novels including 80 long novels and 180 short stories. His best-known works include "Miyamoto Musashi" (Musashi), "Taiko-ki" (Taiko: An Epic Novel of War and Glory in Feudal Japan) and "Shin Heike Monogatari" (the Heike Story: A Modern Translation of the Classic Tale of Love and War), which are loved by many people and he became a popular novelist in the country.
