Biography |
Sakaki Hyakusen (1697-1752) was a Japanese nanga (Chinese-style painting) artist. In his early days, studied haiku under Kagami Shiko. Taught himself to paint and made painting his profession from the age of forty eight. His painting style varied from nanga to haiga (a style of Japanese painting). His works inspired Yosa Buson. |
