Biography Yosa Buson (1716-1783) was a Japanese Haiku poet born in Settsu province. Studied the painting under Sakaki Hyakusen and Haiku under Hayano Hajin. His pupils include Goshun, Kito, Gekkyo. Achieved a remarkable success as a Japanese literati painter with Ike Taiga.
