Artist Hayashi Razan
Title Portrait of Arihara Narihira
Biography Hayashi Razan (1583-1657) was a Confucian scholar born in Kyoto. Learned under Fujiwara Seika and served Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hidetada, Iemitsu and Ietsuna over four generations of the Tokugawa shogunate.

Ariwawa no Narihira (825-880) was a nobleman and one of the Rokkasen(Six Immortal Poets).
