Biography |
Kano Isenin Naganobu was a Japanese painter born in Edo(now Tokyo), a son and a pupil of Yosenin Korenobu. Succeeded 8th generation head of the Kobikicho branch of the Edo Kano school. Familiar with tea ceremony and painted under the patronage of 7th lord of Matsue, Matsudaira Fumai and studied antique Chinese and Japanese paintings. Known for the restorer of the Edo Kano school. |
