Biography Kusaka Genki(1820-1854) was a Japanese doctor and a scholar of Western learning born in Nagato(present Yamaguchi Prefecture). The older brother of Kusaka Genzui. Learned Western studies under Ogata Koan and served as the principal of Tekijuku.
