Biography Okamoto Toyohiko (1778-1845) was a Japanese painter born in Bichu(part of current Okayama prefecture). Studied under Goshun who was a founder of the Shijo school in Kyoto. Became one of the two greatest painters of the Shijo school with Keibun. His pupils include Shiokawa Bunrin and Shibata Zeshin. Excelled at landscape paintings.
