Biography Takada Koin (1924-1998) was a Japanese monk of Hossoshu sect, born in Osaka. After his father's death, he was taken in tow by Todai-ji Ryuzo-in. Later, became pupil of Hashimoto Gyoin of Yakushi-ji. Graduated from Ryukoku University. Devoted to restoration of the Yakushi-ji buildings. The 124th chief priest of Yakushi-ji(Nara) and Hossoshu sect.
